Somehow or another, the ferries here in the puget sound - which are actually a subset of our roads here - are somewhat iconic, and are inevitably associated with Seattle. Maybe it's that we have the largest operating ferry system in the United States, who knows.

Mt. Baker

The old equipment from the MV Olympic, an old ferry that has not been in operation for some time. From left to right are the compass, rudder control, and the engineering telegraph. The telegraph, appropriately enough, is set to "Finished With Engine".
