Personally I would not find a Haruhi who committed all of her
canonical misdeeds with full awareness to be at all likeable.

On the other hand I wouldn't find a Haruhi who could instantly drop
her mental blinders and recalculate the world from first principles to
be at all realistic.

If you really want a sympathetic Haruhi, might I suggest that other
one? You know, the transvestite gigolo from that host club. ;-)
