This idea is not new, not original, and I've even seen the NAME 'Rose
Dursley' used for the Muggleborn daughter who gets the dreaded letter.

However, that having been said, I've also never seen any "writers" who
started such a story carry it past the delivery of said letter. If you can
manage THAT, you'll at least have gotten one up on a hundred FF.netters and
FA.org writers.
