[FFML] [News][Potter] Rowling Speaks on Dumbledore

You've GOT to be kidding.

You actually take this as an "indicator" of homophobia?

Dude, I take it as an indicator of how credulous and stupid a person is to
buy that this was anything more than cheap theatrics on JKR's part to prop
up slumping sales in a series.

Tell me... do you think for a minute that she'd have made this
"groundbreaking" announcement in front of a group of parents and children at
say an event sponsored by Scholastic?

If you do, you're fooling yourself.

This was blatant "attention whoring" in action.

I've actually found this news to be a good indicator of the level of
homophobia in an individual. If all of a sudden they think this entirely
changes how they look at Dumbledore and they're suddenly uncomfortable with
him as a character, that person is fairly homophobic.

If they say, "Cool!", they tend the other way.

HP has never inspired me sufficiently to read or write fanfic about it, but
I acknowledge that this opens up a whole new fertile area of fanfiction.
And that's always good.
