In case anyone's wondering, I think the gathering of fanfic writers 
Sunday evening was fun. It certainly seemed to be reaching critical 
mass when I left, what with people talking about reviving 
long-thought dead stories and story ideas, and maybe even the 
reappearance of the 1-hour fic.

I guess that's what happens when you get that many fanfic writers in 
one place at the same time.

I think the concensus was to try to do it again this coming Sunday, 
same bat time, same bat channel.

Just a suggestion to people - and I know of at least one and suspect 
there are others - who wanted to come but couldn't make it (or 
couldn't stay long) due to the time and/or day.  The channel's open 
all the time, and I don't think Lorien would mind if somebody(s) 
wanted to do a mass gathering at a more convenient time for 
themselves and their neighbors with the same problem.  IIRC, in the 
olden days the old Sunday chat actually started gathering steam in 
the middle of the afternoon and didn't start breaking up until late at night!
