Hello. I've been lurking around on this list for a very long time. I
never contributed much, at first because I didn't write in English,
and now because I don't write much at all... However, I do have a
suggestion here.

Prevent them, no. But maybe it would be possible to use these random
ideas as base for a complete story? Or, at least, to add a few
paragraphs to such a thing and pass it along to the next writer?

I've seen it done here in a limited fashion (as "joke" vignettes), but
I think the list could stand to benefit from a larger dose of remix
culture. As long as proper credit is given, I see no problem with it.
And contributing bits of "flash fiction" is something I could see
myself doing - writing anything longer is bit of a struggle for me.
