If I may be permitted to say something...

One, it is nice to see so many familiar names coming in out of the cold and back to the list, chief among them is my nee-san Karaohki, White wolf.

Two, the fact that the list exists is a blessing in itself. I have 3 mail accounts myself, one for family, one for miscellaneous stuff and one specifically for the list. It is that important to me, it's been with me since I was a freshman in college oh so many years ago, it introduced me to various people I respect, people I call friends and people who taught me a thing or two about writing. I've followed several stories to their conclusion, got sad that some of them weren't finished, and I've been here for several of the revamps. The list was and still is part of my life, losing it many of those times was like losing connection to a lot of my fellow writers.

As my editor and web master Larry F knows I've been neglecting my writing recently, blame it on laziness, blame it on real life getting in the way, blame it on anything and everything, including me but the fact was this hobby, writing fanfics, lost its meaning along the way. But when the list died recently, I suddenly felt I had to write again, even just to uphold the memory of this grand institution. So yeah, I'm going to be cutting back on my anime watching and focus on writing again.

Three, regarding community, configuration of the replies. Shouldn't that be the responsibility of the sender? I consider the members of this list as artisans, people who create worlds with words. Shouldn't people who can create worlds, stories and situations be able to handle the responsibility of directing their mail to the people they want to send to?

My thoughts on the matter, it ain't gospel, it's debatable . But why dwell on it, when we can make better use of our time writing, reading and commenting on fics.
