Might as well weigh in myself, as little as my opinion may matter.

Just reply to the list.

Bob stated it pretty well.  I know I've pretty much used the list as a
distribution source and nothing more for...years, now.  The last time
I actually got *solid* C&C on a fic (even discounting the scarcity of
my postings)....  Well, I can't remember a FFML response.

Same goes for my giving C&C.  I used to.  But I sure don't any more.

Let's just give people the benefit of the doubt and presume they can
figure out how to send private replies when needed.

I want my sense of community back.
