[FFML] Just a note on configuration

I've been a subscriber for years, but not a poster.  I watched people 
come and go.  I'd see requests for fics I thought were interesting, and 
then never found where they were, because the responses were private.  
C&C would be posted, but one line would be off comment, and the poster 
would be slapped down.  And amidst all that, people graduated from uni, 
got real jobs and stopped writing anime fanfic.

I understand the original reason for off list replies may have been to 
do with the cost of traffic (in money and cputime).  I hope it isn't the 
case again.

I'm all for on list replies, as long as responsible tagging, like [FIC] 
or [REQ] or [C&C] is used.  Then I can set up filters and be happy.
