Note: This includes information from an interview with J.K. Rowling where
she stated that after the events of Deathly Hallows Harry and Ron became
aurors, Hermione became a magical lawyer and Ginny first became a
professional quidditch player, then a sportswriter for the Daily Prophet.

Point to the Chaser
*Well, I know that no one can accuse me of being a coward,* Ginny
mused as she dove to the left to dodge a Bludger, jinked right and threw
the Quaffle through the Pride of Portree ring. *I mean I've faced some of
the worst Death Eaters Voldemort had and now I'm an International Quidditch
player, being watched by millions. So why is my heart beating so fast?*
In the back of her mind she noted the score of 220 to 190 with the Holyhead
Harpies on top. A good lead, but close enough that the Golden Snitch
would still decide the game. Ginny took a moment to spot Athena Blackburn,
the Harpies Seeker, as she raced around the pitch searching for the Snitch.
The Quaffle was put back into play and Ginny zoomed off after it.
Her flight path took her right by the VIP box which held some of the most
important people in the world to her; her brother Ron and his new wife
Hermione and Harry, Ginny's boyfriend. She caught Harry's eye as she
soared by and winked at him. Then she saw the Quaffle as it headed in her
direction. She caught it in one hand and spun into a tight inverted loop
to head back to the Portree scoring area.
The chance wink at Harry set her heart beating even harder. Ginny
focused all her attention on the game in an attempt to master herself. As
she raced towards the Portree end zone, suddenly the stadium erupted in
cheers. The other players pulled their brooms to a stop. Ginny looked
around and saw a triumphant Athena holding the Golden Snitch, signaling
another win for the Holyhead Harpies. Athena looked at Ginny and her
heart started beating rapidly again. Ginny nodded and Athena sailed to the
center of the stadium, pulled out her wand, pointed it at her throat and
said, "Sonorus. Wizards and Witches," Athena said in her magically
amplified voice, "Our chaser, Ginny Weasley has something she'd like to
say."
In the VIP box Ron leaned over to Harry and whispered, "You have
any idea what this is about?"
Harry shook his head. "She didn't say anything to me." Neither
of them noticed Hermione smile and lean back in her seat.
Ginny flew to the center of the pitch and cast her own Sonorus
charm. "Ladies and Gentlemen, as some of you may have noticed, we have a
special guest in the stands tonight, Harry Potter, the boy who won." More
cheers erupted in the stadium and Harry felt his face turning red. He
thought he could see Ginny's face begin to turn red as well as she
continued, "I know that some newspapers have been telling stories about
Harry and I being romantically linked. I just want to set the record
straight by saying that these stories are absolutely true." There were
many gasps, and not a few wails of anguish at her words but again the
audience erupted into cheers. Ginny waved her hands to quiet them.
"There is one more thing I would like to say, or rather to ask." As she
said this the audience quieted down to barely a whisper.
"She wouldn't..." Ron began, but a sharp elbow from Hermione shut
him up.
"Harry," Ginny said, "we've known each other since you first
learned about the Wizarding world. Things haven't always been the easiest
between us, especially during the war with Voldemort." There were some
gasps as she said that name, but Ginny didn't even notice them as she
continued, "but we always made it through and ended up closer than ever.
I love you Harry James Potter. Please, will you marry me?"
The crowd was dead silent. It was as if someone had sucked all
the sound out of the stadium. "She. Just," Harry said in shock. The
color drained from his face as he realized how many people had just heard
Ginny propose to him. "Did she have to do this in front of so many people?"
Harry muttered to Ron.
"She probably got tired of waiting for you to do it on your own,
mate," Ron said. "So did I for that matter."
Harry was about to retort when Ginny glided over to the VIP booth
and looked at Harry expectantly. "Um yeah," Harry croaked. Then he stood,
cleared his throat and said, "I mean, yes. I would love to marry you,
Ginny." The audience erupted into wild applause as Ginny leapt off her
broom and landed in Harry's arms, instantly locked in a passionate kiss.
